What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?
Pursuing an MBA in Business Analytics while learning web development and building my blog might sound exciting—and it is. But behind the scenes, it also means long hours, screen fatigue, self-doubt, and the pressure to stay consistent while hoping my health holds up and income goals align.
To avoid burnout, I’ve started focusing on one simple truth:
Comfort isn’t a break from growth—it’s what sustains it.
Here are a few small strategies I use daily to stay calm, focused, and kind to myself:
☕ 1. Starting My Day Slowly
Before diving into classes or coding, I spend 10–15 minutes in silence—no phone, no tasks. Just me, my thoughts. It sets the tone for the day.
🧠 2. Planning with Intention
I use Notion to plan out realistic daily goals across web dev, blogging, and MBA studies. It keeps my mind clear and helps me track progress without feeling overwhelmed.
🧘♀️ 3. Movement in Small Doses
Even when I’m short on time or low on energy, I stretch for 5–10 minutes or walk around the house. Sometimes I use a pull reducer band to ease body tension from sitting too long.
🌸 4. Creating a Cozy Work Environment
A tidy desk, soft lighting, and calming background music (usually lo-fi beats) make studying or coding feel more peaceful—even on long days.
📴 5. Protecting My Energy Online
I mute accounts that trigger stress and stop scrolling after 9 PM. I’ve started charging my phone away from bed and replacing night scrolls with reflection or rest.
Final Thought
Comfort isn’t always about candles or vacations. Sometimes, it’s about giving yourself a quiet moment, a clean space, or a deep breath in the middle of a hectic day.
And for me—that makes all the difference.
