My Web Dev Journey: 14 Projects, Real Struggles, Real Wins

Over the past 30 days, my journey as a web developer has felt like climbing a creative mountain — sometimes tiring, often thrilling, and always worth it.

I’ve completed 14 projects on DevChallenges.io, slowly building confidence with each design I brought to life. I’ve also been progressing through Angela Yu’s Web Development Bootcamp — I’m just about to begin the Bootstrap section, and I’m revisiting key concepts from YouTube videos to strengthen my foundation.

One of the most tricky yet memorable projects was Echoplex. It tested my patience — especially with alignment issues — but instead of giving up, I submitted what I had finished. It was a small win in staying consistent, even when things didn’t feel perfect.

Flexbox is another area I used to struggle with. But now, with some revision and Bootstrap ahead, I know I’ll get better at it. I’m slowly moving from frustration to flow — and that shift feels empowering.

Lately, I’ve been juggling my learning with a freelance recruitment internship. At times, it pulled me away from coding. But I’ve listened to what my mind and body needed — rest — and now I feel ready to return to the rhythm of learning.

This journey isn’t linear. Some days I move fast, other days I pause. But I’ve learned that showing up matters more than being perfect. With every challenge I complete and every line of code I debug, I’m getting one step closer to the developer I want to become.
