My Ideal Japanese-Style 1BHK Home

What does your ideal home look like?

When I imagine my dream home, I see a 1BHK Japanese-style house — compact, minimal, and peaceful.

The living + bedroom would be multifunctional: tatami flooring, a futon bed that folds away, and a low wooden table with floor cushions. The kitchen would be small yet efficient, with hidden storage and sliding doors. The bathroom would follow the Japanese split design, with a separate dry zone and a deep soaking tub in the wet zone.

The overall vibe would be calm and clutter-free — neutral tones, natural wood, shoji doors, and just a few meaningful decor pieces like a bonsai or ikebana flowers.

For me, this home represents minimalism and harmony. A place where less truly feels like more.
